Monday, January 19th – Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday
Thursday, January 29th – Second Grading Period Ends, 2 hour early release
Friday, January 30th and Monday, February 2nd – Teacher workdays. No school for students
Wednesday, February 4 – Marshall, Madison, and Langley High School counselors will visit Kilmer to speak with eighth grade students about course selection for ninth grade.
Thursday, February 5 (Snow date: Feb. 12) – Madison High School Curriculum Night
Thursday, February 12 (Snow Date: Feb. 19) – Marshall High School Rising 9th Grade Orientation (For current eighth grade students and their parents)

Progress Reports:
Due to the inclement weather over the last two weeks, bi-weekly progress reports will be emailed to parents next Wednesday, January 21st. This will be the last progress report parents will receive for the second quarter grading period.

February 5, 2015 (Snow date: Feb.12) – Madison High School Curriculum Night
This program will provide parents and students, current grades 8 – 11, an opportunity to learn about academic classes, elective classes, and course requirements that are available. Teachers and departments from Madison, as well as the FCPS Academies, will have displays and information available to provide you with an excellent opportunity to find out about the different curricular offerings and requirements and to ask questions about course sequence, course content, and activities.

February 12, 2015 (Snow Date: Feb 19) – Marshall High School Rising 9th Grade Orientation (For current eighth grade students and their parents)
Program focuses on course descriptions and graduation requirements
5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Visit Activity Exhibits for clubs, sports and activities

6:30 – 9:00 p.m. Orientation Program begins in the Auditorium
